Happy New Year!!!!

As I was getting ready on New Year's Eve, I noticed Zach learned a peculiar habit while playing in the pack and play. My friend Adrienne's son did this awhile ago and I thought it was the cutest thing. So, I had to share with everyone! Have a look and laugh!

A Zook Family Christmas

We had such a wonderful Christmas, although Zachary had his first cold.  He was so good, though, and we were so blessed to share so much time with family.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, too!

Here's Zach waking up.  Although he appears to be unhappy, it's just his cold.  He was a very happy boy all day.  Brooke was first.Jackson loves to practice his smile.Here's Livvy.Zach's favorite gift (or possibly mommy's)- look!  He's in the wagon! We got Natalie in the afternoon and they had such a good time together.  She just loves her little brother.

Zach and his friend Lincoln

Zach finally got to meet his buddy Lincoln and Lincoln's Mommy and Daddy on the 21st after his second flu shot. It was a lot of fun and both boys enjoyed each other. Lincoln kept trying to give Zach pointers on how to crawl forward instead of backwards but Zach still likes crawling in reverse.

Growing at leaps and bounds

Zach had his flu shot part deux and they weighed him and measured him once again.

He now weighs 22.8lbs (with clothes on)
and he is 29 3/4 inches long.

The nurses were surprised once again how much he had grown in just over a month.

Today's Natalie's Birthday! Na na na na na na na na!

Happy 6th Birthday to Natalie! She had her first slumber party (and possibly last? ha ha) on Friday. We had her older sister, 5 cousins and 2 friends over. The girls were really good, though, and everyone had fun passing Zach around. Who knew the baby would be such a fun accessory to the party? :-)

Baptisms

Sunday, December 16th was a special day in the Zook household. Kevin was baptized with Zach and Natalie. It was a wonderful day and it made me so happy!



Don't worry- Zach didn't wear the hat in public. It was just too cute and silly not to share!



Uncle Greg and Aunt Tori are Zach's Godparents. We love them and are so thankful they were there with us! (Natalie couldn't help but sneak in the picture...she's such a ham!)

More backwards crawling

This is slow in the beginning but watch Zach crawl around backwards to get what he wants. He takes a few shots to the head but that doesn't stop our little man who was focused on the task at hand.

Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except Me & My Monkey

O Christmas Tree......O Christmas Tree...

It was one year ago that Pam and I wanted only one thing benetah our Christmas Tree, a healthy baby boy. A year later our wish has more than come true. We have the most precious gift ever.

Mommy and Daddy. I am going places. Backwards. But I am going places!

Here is a video of Zach beginning to talk and possibly his first word. Will he have "diahrea of the mouth" like his Daddy? We'll have to wait and see!!

Natalie has been asking for weeks to take a bath with her little brother and this time was a success. He loves the bathtub and loves to splash!

This picture only took 13 takes but it was too cute to not share with everyone. The picture was a leftover from Thanksgiving night but I really like this photo. Perhaps it's because it was the only one where every kid was looking straight ahead!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Maybe it was the scent of the turkey or the tiny taste of turkey and rice baby food, but Zach couldn't stay awake in his chair.



We weren't able to have Natalie during Thanksgiving dinner, but here is a picture of Zach with her from earlier this week.

Do I look like Poppy?

Here's Zach in his Christmas outfit. The hat was too perfect, and it happens to be the kind of hat that his Poppy wears. Needless to say we just had to get pictures of them. Do you see a resemblance between Zach and Poppy (Pam's dad, for those that may not know him)?

Unfortunately we had some problems with Pam's car and after a pretty hard decision we had to trade in the Hyundai and go with something more dependable. So without further adieu....here is a picture of a 2008 Mercury Mariner which is similar to the one we just bought. Pam is a very happy mommy.

How much is that doggie in the window?

Zach absolutely loves Mom-Mom's dog Kasie. Look how excited he gets. The video is kind of dark but you will appreciate all of Zach's giggles and squealing. Enjoy!

6 month Doctors Appointment

So we took Zach to the doctors today for his six month docotors appointment. Here are the official stats at sixth months.

Height: 28 3/4 inches (97% percentile)
Weight: 20 lbs 5 oz (90% percetile)
Head: 44 (75% percentile)


He was such a good boy at the doctors and did awesome with his shots once again.

Zach got the giggles!

I wasn't able to get all of his giggles, but you'll get to hear his delight at his new friend. He was so funny! When I shook the toy, he laughed and really got the giggles. It is just so much fun! Enjoy!

Trick-or-Treat!

Tonight was Zach's first experience with Halloween, although it only lasted long enough to watch Natalie and her sister stop at a few houses and long enough for mommy to snap a few pictures. Thanks to Mom Mom and Pop Pop Zook for letting us hang at their house!

Marriage is an institution in which a man loses his Bachelor's Degree and the woman gets her Masters.

Which Zach was busy keeping Mom Mom Z sleep deprived, Pam and I went to a lovely wedding at Scotland Run on Saturday night and had a blast. We actually closed the place. It was a lot of fun. We had a very cool bartender who was conveniently seated right behind us and we spent the whole night laughing and having a wonderful time!! Pam was feeling so great she decided to lead the Congo line. I wish I had a picture of that. But here are some pictures! And yes, it was probably wrong to mock this young drunk girl wearing this huge gaudy belt from the 80's but we just couldn't help ourselves. Besides, it was too fun not too!
